Mountaineer Boys Lose At Floyd Co.

FLOYD — Kameron Harris scored 26 points, while Cayden Sutphin added 25, shooting Floyd County past Alleghany, 78-66, in a Three Rivers District boys basketball game Wednesday.
Tanner Sutphin, the third Buffalo in double figures, had 10 of his 12 points in the final quarter.
Floyd County improved to 4-1 in the TRD with the win, 7-7 overall.
Jayson Easton paced Alleghany with 28 points, while Devin Lane scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Mountaineers (0-5 TRD, 4-8 overall) travel to Radford on Friday for a match-up with the unbeaten Bobcats.
Floyd was a 57-25 junior varsity winner.
Kaiden Swortzel had 17 points for the winners, while Jaden Brewer added 16.
Dylan Nicely scored 10 for Alleghany, Andrew Middleton had five, Alexandre Taylor scored four, Antwaun Broadnax added three, Cameron Marshall scored two and Dylan Gibson added one.
Floyd County led 39-14 at the half.
