FREE CONCERT — Allan Sizemore, who performs professionally under the name BlacKingCoal, will bring his mix of blues, soul, and folk guitar stylings to the White Sulphur Springs Library on Thursday, Jan. 24, beginning at 6 p.m.
Light refreshments will follow this free program. Allan has been a professional musician for over 30 years. He has had Top 10 albums and songs overseas, as well as having his groups “Rust Kings” and “The Wild Rumpus” named in various Top 20 lists of performers in Americana in the past.
His songs have been named the NPR Song of the Week on “All Songs Considered” twice and he also penned most of the music for the television show “Barnwood Builders” for the first season.
Now residing in White Sulphur Springs and still traveling the country as the blues/soul act BlacKingCoal, he is going strong with new releases and upcoming projects. The library is located at 344 Main Street W. in White Sulphur Springs.
