CLIFTON FORGE, Va. (VR) – Once again, the Town of Clifton Forge is inviting all volunteers to help clean up the town on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00am to 11:00am. Please meet at Town Hall to receive assignments, orange trash bags and safety vests. Bring work gloves and trash picker grabbers if you have them. Town Hall will provide a place to deposit the filled trash bags. Helping to collect litter is a way to celebrate Earth Day which will fall on Tuesday, April 22.

The winter has left much trash and debris in the Town entrance corridors and on the main streets. A good number of volunteers will help to make the task at hand much simpler. The Town of Clifton Forge thanks regional and local volunteers for helping out at every Spring Spruce Up.

Please spread the word about the need for volunteers and mark your calendars for 9:00 am on April 18, 2026. Please plan to meet at Town Hall as the volunteers work together to clean the Town. If you can’t plan on meeting at Town Hall, please plan to work with your neighbors, churches and other
organizations to clean individual sections of the community.
