COVINGTON, Va. – Due to road conditions in some areas of Alleghany County caused by overnight weather and freezing temperatures, Alleghany Highlands Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. 

Students will learn virtually from home.

Families may pick up meal packets for students at all schools from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
