COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The CMS girls soccer team turned the tables Monday night, defeating their opponent 5-1 after falling to the same team 7-0 a year ago.
Emeri Brown led the Cougars’ attack with a hat trick, pacing an offense that controlled the match from the start. Ashtyn Crawford added a goal, while Claire McGraw capped the scoring with a strike from just outside the 18-yard box.
In goal, Marley Aragones recorded 10 saves to help secure the win.
The Cougars have come into the new season fired up and ready to take it on, bringing the same intensity and momentum that helped fuel their strong finish last season.
