COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany JV boys’ basketball team had its postseason end Saturday afternoon with a loss to Staunton. The Cougars played with toughness and pride until the final buzzer. Staunton pulled away late to secure the win and capture the Shenandoah District JV Tournament title. Buddy White scored a game-high 32 points, Gabe Salamanca scored 10, Jaxon Brewster finished with 8, Talin Raether added 7.
