COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – Bubby Entsminger scored 17 points as Alleghany picked up a Shenandoah District home win over Rockbridge to close the regular season. The Cougars doubled the Wildcats 10-5 after one quarter and built a 34-15 halftime lead. Alleghany controlled the second half to secure the victory. Jalen Raether added 14 points for the Cougars, Des Jordan had 11, and Kevin Worley and Talyn Elliott scored seven apiece.

Alleghany ends the regular season 13-3 in the Shenandoah District, good for second place behind the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets, and 17-5
overall. 

In the junior varsity contest, Alleghany rolled to a 69-33 win. Jaxon Brewster scored 12 points to lead a balanced Cougar effort. Buddy Leisure-White added 11, Jayden Richmond had 10, Shawn Wallace scored eight and Quinten Harris finished with seven.
