COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Highlands is coming together like never before to celebrate local dining with the launch of Restaurant Week 2026, “A Taste of the Alleghany Highlands”, a first-ever collaborative event designed to spotlight the region’s restaurants, flavors, and
hospitality.
A collaborative effort by Olde Town Covington, Inc, Clifton Forge Main Street, Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, City of Covington, Town of Clifton Forge, Alleghany County and Town of Iron Gate, Restaurant Week will invite residents and visitors alike to dine locally, try new spots, and support the small businesses that help define the character of our community.
During Restaurant Week, participating restaurants across Covington, Clifton Forge, Iron Gate and Alleghany County will offer featured menu items, special pricing, or limited-time offerings, giving foodies an opportunity to experience the diversity and creativity of the Alleghany Highlands food scene.
“This event is about more than food,” said Afton Griffin, Interim President of Olde Town Covington, Inc. “Restaurant Week is a celebration of collaboration across municipalities, organizations, and businesses, all coming together to strengthen our local economy and showcase the heart of our community.”
Restaurant Week is designed to drive foot traffic, increase visibility for the participating restaurants, and encourage residents to rediscover the value of dining local.
Coordinated marketing efforts will promote the event region-wide, while restaurants are encouraged to engage their own audiences to build momentum and excitement.
Dates, the participating restaurants, and special offers will be announced soon.
