AHPS Closed Monday, February 2; Virtual Learning and Meal Distribution Planned

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) —  Alleghany Highlands Public Schools (AHPS) will be closed Monday, February 2, due to lingering weather conditions. Students will participate in virtual learning from home.

Meal Distribution: AHPS will provide three-day meal packets. Families with students at multiple schools can pick up meals at one location.

Pick-Up Times | 12:00–1:00 p.m.:

  • Covington Middle School – Kitchen loading dock, Chestnut Street

  • Callaghan Elementary – Front entrance

  • Jeter Watson Elementary – Side gym entrance

  • Mountain View Elementary – Afternoon car rider loop

  • Sharon Elementary – Kitchen dock, right side

Families can sign up via the Google Form on the AHPS website.

No decisions have been made regarding school operations beyond Monday. Updates will be shared via AHPS communications.a.
