BUFFALO GAP, Va. (VR) – Alleghany continued its strong run Saturday, winning the Bison Duals at Buffalo Gap for its second tournament title in as many weeks.
The Cougars went unbeaten through the event, earning dual wins over Hargrave Military Academy, Spotswood, Stuarts Draft, Waynesboro and Staunton. The title lifted Alleghany to 21-1 overall this season.
Nick Powell, Hayden Wills, Kylan Tolley and Carter Nicely each finished the day 5-0 for the Cougars.
Nicely reached another career milestone during the tournament, raising his win total to 155.
