Alleghany Girls Drop Road Contest at Jefferson Forest

FOREST, Va (VR) –  Alleghany dropped a 56-26 non-district decision at Jefferson Forest  Ty’Aieja Smith led the Cougars with 16 points, accounting for more than half of Alleghany’s scoring, while Zamya Hayslett added six. Jefferson Forest was led by Addison Dixon with 13 points, while Maya Lee scored 12 and Audrey Hogan added 11 for the Cavaliers.

In junior varsity play, Alleghany was defeated 49-34. Skylar Nicely, Remmy Anderson and Abbi Powell each finished with seven points for the Cougars. Jefferson Forest’s Ella Carson led the game with 20 points, including 10 in the opening quarter, as the Cavaliers improved to 9-1.
