Juvenile Facing Charges After Monday Stabbing Incident In Alleghany County

A male juvenile is facing charges following a stabbing incident Monday night in Alleghany County.
Richard Shull, an investigator with the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office, said the incident occurred at 4513 Shady Lane in the Hematite area. 
It was reported at approximately 11 p.m.
Shull said a female victim suffered a stab wound. 
She was treated and released from a hospital Tuesday morning.
The name of the juvenile, who is 17, is being withheld due to his age. 
He has been charged with abduction, malicious wounding, breaking and entering and assault and battery.
The juvenile is being  held in a detention center. Shull said the suspect’s name will be released if a decision is made to try him as an adult.
The investigation is ongoing, Shull said.
