Eddie Thomas Meadows III and Allison Terra Graham have been named Mr. and Miss AHS by their classmates and the faculty of Alleghany High School.
Both Eddie and Allison were nominated by the faculty and senior class as part of a field of 16 candidates who then underwent an interview before a panel of community and faculty judges and a second faculty vote to determine the winner.
Eddie is the son of Eddie and Lu Meadows. At AHS, he has been part of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society, was nominated for Boys’ State,  served as president of the Students for Christ Club and served as a student representative on the Alleghany County School Board.
Eddie plans on enlisting with the U.S Air Force for a six-year hitch, and may possibly enter the workforce while continuing his education to become a pilot.
Allison is the daughter of Terry Graham and Tammy Graham. At AHS, she was a two-year member of the Beta Club and served as co-secretary and treasurer. She was vice president of the Mountaineer Maniacs, a member of the yearbook staff and a part of wind ensemble during her freshman year.
She was also a four-year member of the varsity softball team. Allison earned an associate’s degree from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College as part of the Early College Scholar program. She plans to attend Old Dominion University to complete a bachelor’s degree in communications through the university’s online program.
Candidates for Mr. AHS also included Tristan Brown, A.J. Moses, Haydon Washburn, Dawson Tolley, Logan Arritt, Colton Poague and Jordan McPeek.
Candidates for Miss AHS also included Taylor Malcom, Maggie Thompson, Lindsey Brown, Olivia Bryant, Bailee Leitch, Vanna Hoke and Natalie Griffith.
Judges included Mallory Nicely, Lisa Hicks, Devan Nicely, Kelly Huff, Thomas Dobbs and Clinton Phillips.
