HILLSVILLE — Carroll County swept both ends of a Three Rivers District soccer doubleheader here Thursday.
The Cavalier girls (3-5-1 TRD, 7-6-1 overall) edged Alleghany 3-2 before the Carroll boys (1-6 TRD, 1-9-1 overall) blanked AHS, 3-0.
Adrienne Harris scored the game-winner for the Carroll County girls with 12 minutes left, completing the comeback win.
Regan Meadows and Carlee Lanford both had first-half goals for the Mountaineers, staking them to a 2-0 lead.
Harris had two goals for the Cavaliers.
Alleghany keeper Emma Williams made 20 saves.
The Mountaineer girls dropped to 3-6 in the Three Rivers, 5-7-1 overall, while AHS boys are now 3-10 overall, 0-8 in the TRD.
Both teams will play at Giles Monday and at home against Carroll County on Tuesday. The girls then host Floyd County on Thursday.
