This morning, the Covington Middle School administration became aware of a concerning social media post by an individual not enrolled at the school.
CMS administration immediately notified law enforcement.
The Covington Division of Police is investigating the matter.
We want to reassure our students, families, and staff that everyone is safe, and there is no immediate danger.
Classes are continuing as normal, and our focus remains on keeping our school community safe and supported.
As we learn more details, we will share when able.
