LEWISBURG, W.Va. — WV Fine Artisans will feature the artwork of Ginger Danz during the month of June.
Danz works in acrylics to create her abstract and semi-abstract paintings; working in a vibrant palette with a sense of joy in every brushstroke.
Danz, a Fayetteville, W.Va. resident, is a full time artist. Originally from Indiana, Danz says “my roots are now firmly planted in the soil of this rugged and beautiful place. In art, as in life I like to be a part of something at the beginning is its life cycle.
“The small boom and bust towns of the 20th century West Virginia are discovering and bettering themselves through the arts,” she continued. “Now in my late 40’s, I’m also at the beginning of a new creative cycle, striving to make authentic and personally meaningful art and exploring new themes like scenes from an amazing trip to Italy. I’m also working on a continuing series of farm animals, based on times spent at a friend’s Fayette County farm and the pastoral beauty of south West Virginia.”
Danz will be demonstrating her painting techniques at WV Fine Artisans on First Fridays After Five on June 7 from 5-8 p.m.
Her work will be on display during the month of June at WV Fine Artisans, located at 1042 Washington Street, East, in Lewisburg.
