WARM SPRINGS — The USDA Forest Service is seeking a volunteer campground host for the Hidden Valley Campground in Bath County on the Warm Springs Ranger District of the George Washington National Forest.
Volunteer with us for the 2019 camping season, March 8 through Nov. 3,” said District Ranger Elizabeth McNichols. “This is a great opportunity to spend time in a wonderful location and meet fellow travelers.”
A campground host is a volunteer who spends part of the year in a national forest campground. A host helps other campers by answering questions, providing local information about the area and bringing issues to forest service employees. Hosts are also responsible for cleaning and maintaining the campground.
Hosts must have a self-contained RV or trailer and a personal vehicle for transportation (tents are not acceptable). Water, sewage, propane, a generator and a campsite are provided.
