LOW MOOR — The Alleghany County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Low Moor governmental complex.
There will be a public hearing on a proposed bond issuance of $779,606. The proceeds would be used to fund improvements to the county’s wastewater treatment system.
Susan Hammond, resident administrator for the Virginia Department of Transportation, will present supervisors with a monthly update.
Under unfinished business, the board will consider scheduling a public hearing on proposed amendments to the animal ordinance pertaining to nuisance cats.
New business will include:
— A presentation of  the county audit for the year ending June 30, 2019.
— An update on the 2020 Census.
— A report on the Historic Masonic Theatre and its economic impact.
— Jill Shifflett-Ramsey concerning updates to county ordinances.
— Awarding a contract to Hammond-Mitchell for a sanitary sewer project in Rosedale.
— An appointment to the Board of Building Code Appeals.
— Appointments to the Planning Commission.
— Appointments to the Water and Sewer Commission.
— An appointment to the Social Services Board.
