Drugs, Cash Seized In Bath Bust

Covington City Council will convene Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of Covington City Hall, 333 W. Locust Street.
Council will first convene for a called meeting for a tentative information presentation by Jonathan Arritt, vice chairman of the Joint Schools Services Committee and member of the Covington City School Board, regarding discussion and consideration of support for submittal of a budget request to the General Assembly to continue ongoing discussion with regard to potential merger of school divisions.
Immediately following the called meeting, council will convene for its January work session were discussions will be held regarding a proposed ordinance in relation to residency requirements for department heads and a signature authority for Covington City Manager Krystal Onaitis.
The following items will be considered for the Tuesday, Jan. 14 city council regular meeting agenda:
— An appointment to the Community Services Board;
— First reading of Ordinance O-20-01 regarding residency requirements for department heads.
