The following Alleghany Highlands businesses and entities have announced their schedules for the observance of Veterans Day, which will be observed Monday, Nov. 11:
— Clifton Forge Public Library: closed and will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m.;
— Alleghany County/Covington Health Department: closed, will reopen Tuesday.
— County Offices in the Alleghany County Governmental Complex: closed and will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 12;
— Alleghany/Covington Department of Social Services: closed;
— Island Ford Transfer Station: open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed Saturday, Nov. 9.
