Ever enjoyed a regular chicken wrap?
Ever tried a lettuce wrap?
It’s the healthier alternative to that regular chicken wrap and I am going to give you a quick way to put together that lettuce chicken wrap.
If you have never read any of my recipes before, I do not properly measure out portions, so you will most likely have leftovers.
I always figure it is best to have leftovers, then not have enough for the meal.
Here is what you will need for the chicken lettuce wraps.
– 4 chicken breasts cut into cubes. Roughly medium bite sized cubes.
– Red, yellow and green pepper diced in small pieces.
– Minced garlic
– Salt & Pepper for tasting
– Your choice of spice for the chicken
– One orange (cut in wedges)
– One head of iceburg lettuce (core removed and the head of the lettuce cut in quarters)
In a frying pan, put it on medium temperature to get hot and add in a little bit of oil to the pan.
Add in your chicken with spices and after a few minutes stir and coat a little more with said spices.
After a few more minutes, add in the diced peppers.
Stir the peppers in the with chicken and continue to stir every few minutes.
Once the chicken has cooked through and the pepper are soft, add in your garlic and stir again to coat the mixture (chicken & peppers).
Shut your burner off and empty your frying pan into a bowl and start prepping for the lettuce wraps.
Layer your wraps however you may want, on a pan, plate, whatever it may be and place in a few scoops of the chicken mixture onto the lettuce wrap.
Take that orange you have cut in wedges and squeeze it onto the chicken wraps for a zesty taste.
After that, enjoy your chicken lettuce wrap.
This can be done with ground chicken, shrimp, steak, pork. Whatever your preference might be.
Try this out and maybe you will have some other way to spice it up with your own style.
