Jesse Thomas “J.T.” Kimberlin, Jr. age 60 of Hardy, Virginia and formerly of Covington, Virginia passed away at his home on Saturday, February 29, 2020.
He was born on September 28, 1959 a son of the late Jesse T., Sr. and Vivian Humphries Kimberlin.
J.T. was a Truck Driver for Corrugated Containers, Inc. and loved to bowl and fish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who had a kind heart and gentle soul that will be dearly missed by everyone who ever knew him.
J.T. is survived by his wife, Diana Dunleavy; his former wife and mother of their children, Sheila Whiting Byer; daughter, April Shumate and husband Tom Dickey of Midlothian; son, James Kimberlin and wife Milissa of Iron Gate; grandchildren, Josh Heilman, Ava Shumate, Jack Dickey, Alder Dickey, Brystol Spangler, Krista Humphries, Dyllan Humphries and Devon Humphries; great-grandchildren, Braylynn, Jaxon, Quincey and Sage. He is also survived by one brother, Charles “Chuckie” Kimberlin and wife Sarah; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Sheila and Rex Selleck, Sandy and Andy Bates, Sonya and Jeff Romanello, all of Covington; former wife and family friend, Kelley Kimberlin; other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Good News Church, 214 S Lexington Ave, Covington, VA with Pastor Barry Daniel officiating.
His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m.
