ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS, Va. (VR) – The girls in Girl Scout Troop 1281 are from all the different elementary schools in Alleghany County and also Covington Middle School. There are girls from 2nd to 7th grade. The girls like helping the community and have donated to the Humane society and Christmas Mother, they have sent care packages to military troops overseas and made pillows for cancer patients.
The troop recently made cookie donations at the Alleghany County Sheriff’s office, City of Covington police station and dropped off boxes of cookies at community blessing boxes in Covington and Clifton Forge.
