Alleghany County Notice to the Public Legal 7-22-25

NOTICE

TO THE PUBLIC

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Alleghany County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the agenda permits, in the Board Room of the County Governmental Complex located at 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, Virginia, to consider the following:

Amendment o Chapter 58-Taxation of “The Code of the County of Alleghany, Virginia” to add a section to Article IX – Transient Occupancy Tax to comply with State legislation in regards to the filing by an accommodations provider that utilizes an accommodations intermediary.

A copy of the draft ordinance is on file in the County Administrator’s Office at the above address and is available to the public for inspection.
