The Clifton Forge Elks Lodge held their annual Hoop Shoot competition on January 12 at Clifton Middle School.
Place winners included:
• Boys 8-9 year old: Winner – Talin Raether;
• Boys 10-11 year old: Winner – Jalen Raether, Runner-Up – Sawyer McGruffey;
• Girls 8-9 year old: Winner – Bella Balser;
• Girls 10-11 year old: Winner – Kendra Dressler, Runner-Up – Hannah Redmon;
• Girls 12-13 year old: Winner – Kelsey Nicely.
The winners competed in the Southwest District Hoop Shoot this past Saturday at Bedford Middle School.
Elks donating their time to make the Hoop Shoot possible included John Hutchison, Lenny Crance, Kenny Yeagley, Priscilla Balser, Cecil Underwood, Timmy King, Jacy Burdette and Ben Garringer.
