John Billie Martin, Sr., 90, entered into eternal rest on December 22, 2019, at the Lorien Nursing Facility in Columbia, MD.
John was born March 13, 1929, to the late Rosetta Spencer Martin and Theophilus (Hokey) Martin in Covington, VA.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Joy Boggs Martin; sister, Marlene Beverly; two sons, Allen S. Martin and Larry A. Martin; granddaughter, Natiá J. Martin and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Pauline M. Martin; brother, Paul L. Martin (Evelyn); aunt, Regina Laws; children, Sharon (Michael), Jerry (Loretta), Yvonne, Phyllis (Jeff), John Jr.(Valencia) and, Kimberly (Eze); daughters-in-law Myrtle and Lawanda; twenty two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted longtime friend, Clarence (Tim) Green and family.
Friends will be received Friday, January 10, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the March Life Tribute Center, 7601 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel MD 20707, additional viewing will be held on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. with a service following at 12 noon.
Burial will be at the Cheltenham Veteran’s Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 on Monday January 13, 2020 at 1:45pm.
