Rebecca Ann “Becky” Pedigo Stancil

Rebecca Ann “Becky” Pedigo Stancil, age 71, of 1904 Oakwood Drive, Clifton Forge, Virginia died peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025 at her residence.

She was born April 8, 1954 in Covington, Virginia to the late Lloyd Elmer Pedigo and Lucille Catherine Clark Pedigo. She was a manager at Stop-In in Clifton Forge for many years, and a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Covington, where she belonged to the Senior Saints group and the Be About Circle. She was an avid Washington Commanders fan. She enjoyed gardening and going to the Outer Banks with her late son, Nathan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Alan Stancil.

She is survived by a son, Chad Stancil of Covington; two brothers, Robert Pedigo (Sam) of Bostic, NC and Richard Pedigo of Covington; and her cat, Gretchen.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Chad Stancil, Richard Pedigo, Robert Pedigo, Bruce Bruffey, Bill Fritz and Jeff Burton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Connection Plus Hospice for their care and compassion during such a difficult time.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Recover Virginia, 103 Mountaineer Drive, Covington, Virginia 24426 or to First Christian Church, 231 E Fudge St, Covington, VA 24426.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.
