COVINGTON, Va. (VR) — Jackson River Technical Center is accepting registrations for children to attend its preschool for the 2025-2026 school year.

The preschool is operated by the Early Childhood Education program and has been in continuous operation for over 35 years. To be eligible to enroll, children must be 3 years old by Labor Day and not yet eligible for Kindergarten, as well as fully potty trained.

Participating children come to JRTC on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:35-1:30. Daily transportation to and from preschool is not provided and must be arranged by parents.  Space is limited to 12 children, and enrollment is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Tuition is $5 per day for each child.

To register a preschooler for next year or inquire about our preschool program, interested families should contact Jackson River Technical Center at (540) 862-1308 or reach out to Early Childhood Education teacher Esther Morse by email at esther.morse@ahps.k12.va.us.
