Alleghany County offices to be in closed in observance of July 4

LOW MOOR, Va. (VR) – The following offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day:

∙ County Offices located in the County Governmental Complex, 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, VA

These offices will reopen for business on Monday, July 7, 2025.

The Island Ford Transfer Station will be OPEN on Friday, July 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and refuse trucks will be running as usual. As a reminder, the transfer station is closed to the public on the first Saturday of each month for maintenance.
