Boys Home came from 14 points down midway through the third quarter at home Friday night.
But a last-second shot to send the game to overtime rolled off the rim.
New Life Christian Academy, out of Summersville, W.Va., moved to 15-2 on the year with a 53-51 win over the Hilltoppers.
“We hit some shots and played defense to get back in the game,” said BH coach Mike Nunnally. “For the secondgame in a row we showed a lot of heart to make the game competitive. We are learning how to compete.”
Terrance Harmon made five three-point shots and had a 17 points for Boys Home.
Ael Nyamsi, Dau Dau and Carlos Brown all added eight points, Philip Neville had six and Tim Kengni scored four.
Monday night’s home game against Dayspring Christian was postponed.
Boys Home, now 10-4 on the year, is scheduled to play at King’s Christian Academy in Roanoke on February 7.
