Cheryl Elaine Anderson Persinger, age 66, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt. 501, Clifton Forge, Virginia died on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her residence.

Cheryl was born on January 2, 1959, in Marlinton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Roy Wanaker Anderson and Edna Gilbert Anderson.  She was a hospice nurse for Mountain Regional Hospice and enjoyed spending time with her family and working with flowers.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by siblings, Bud Anderson, George Anderson, Gordon “Fuzzy” Anderson, Millie Jones, Wayne Anderson, Randy Anderson; and her dog, Maverick.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Eugene Persinger of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Ashlei Balser and Taylor Persinger, both of Falling Springs; two sons, Tyler Persinger of Falling Springs and Brian Balser (Afton) of Amelia; ten grandchildren, Kensington, Weston, Walker, Dalton, Huston, Benton, Taylynn, Taige, Tymber, and Korbin; a number of nieces and nephews; a special friend, Trevor Van Ness; and her cat, Theo.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher and Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating.
