Alleghany Retired Teachers to Hold Spring Meeting

COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Retired Teachers’ Association will hold its last meeting for 2024-2025 on Tuesday, May 6, at 10:45am at The Discovery Center in Covington. Lunch will be catered by The Friendly Fork.
 
The guests for the meeting will be Paul Linkenhoker who will be informing us about The Discovery Center. Also, Chuck Swope with Creekside Insurance Advisors will be giving us an update on their services.
 
Members are reminded that their community service hours report is due and the 2025–2026 year dues will be collected.
 
All retired school personnel (teachers, principals, secretaries, bookkeepers, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria workers, etc.) from Alleghany Highlands Schools or other educational institutions are invited to attend.
 
For more information about the Alleghany Retired Teachers’ Association, the meeting, or anyone needing transportation to the meeting, contact ARTA President Joan Green at 540-969-9460.
