Michele Anne Bostic completed her journey home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 to the welcoming words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Michele was born in Covington, Virginia on November 28, 1967 to Ernie Downey and Jilleen Johnson King.
For many years, she worked as a cosmetologist with the Fountain of Beauty. Michele also enjoyed being outdoors and enjoyed working with her husband in the family business, Landscape Design and Jericho Farms. Above all, she will be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose primary goal was the happiness and security of her family.
Michele had a very outgoing personality. She was a very caring and compassionate person, was always the first to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or an ear to a problem. Her warmth generosity and kind spirit were well known and cherished by those she encountered throughout her life.
A service to celebrate Michele’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
In addition to her mother, Michele is survived by her husband of 33 years, Tommy Bostic; daughters, Breanna Paige Garrett and husband Daniel and Hannah Jolie Bostic; her grandson, the apple of her eye, Mason Daniel Garrett; sister, Stef Schriber; brothers, Ernie Downey, Brad Downey and Tony Downey; and her special k-9 friends, Reef and Rio. She is also survived by special family friends, Danny and Peggy Vandevender, Bobby and Kelly Carter, and Janice Vandevender as well as the many caregivers and friends at UNC Hospital in Chapel who provided loving care to Michele.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to UNC Chapel Hill Cancer Center, Chapel Hill, NC.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
