HOT SPRINGS — Bath County led 23-10 early in the second quarter here Wednesday night.
Narrows then hit the Chargers with a haymaker.
The Green Wave (8-3 Pioneer, 12-6 overall) went on a 27-0 run and cruised to a 73-45 Pioneer District boys basketball win.
Logan Green and Hunter Smith both had 11 points and were two of five Narrows players in double figures.
Bath County got 13 points from Sean Flenner and nine from Jayden Ryder.
“A tough district loss,” said BCHS coach Justin Whittington. “The press was pretty effective against us, it sped us up and got us out of our game plan and we just weren’t able to recover.”
The Chargers lost in Buena Vista on Tuesday night to the Pioneer District regular season champion Fighting Blues, 71-36.
Connor Call had 13 points for the Chargers, while Flenner scored 10.
Will Dunlap led Parry McCluer (12-0 Pioneer, 17-4 overall) with 20 points.
