“The Virginia Travel Guide is the perfect way to learn about our vibrant communities, attractions and people through the experiences of those who know Virginia best,” said Rita McClenny, president and CEO of Virginia Tourism Corporation. “We hope that this year’s guide will inspire visitors and locals alike to explore all that the commonwealth has to offer, from our historic attractions and charming small towns to our breathtaking landscapes and more than 200 “Loveworks” that stretch across the state from sandy shore to mountain summit.”
This year’s directory has three covers, one of which features a stunning aerial photograph of The Omni Homestead Resort and the surrounding mountains of Bath County.
The historic resort opened in 1766 and has become one of the most cherished landmarks in Virginia. It has hosted presidents, celebrities and royalty from all over the world.
In addition to being home to The Omni Homestead Resort, Bath County has charming villages, beautiful scenery, abundant outdoor recreation and a vibrant arts community.
“Congratulations to The Omni Homestead Resort for being selected to appear on the 2020 Virginia Travel Guide,” said Bath County Administrator Ashton Harrison. “We’re pleased that so many people will see the majestic mountain landscape of Bath County when they see the cover.”
In addition to featuring Bath County and The Omni Homestead, the 2020 Virginia Travel Guide highlights include the following:
