It was great to be back in the Shenandoah Valley last week for a productive district work week. I had the opportunity to join a roundtable with local VA-06 small business leaders to discuss protecting the pro-growth 2017 tax cuts, which have been vital to our economy and in just one month of President Trump’s historic return to the White House, he has already delivered on key promises made to the American people. On the Republican Study Committee’s new podcast, I was honored to host Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan to break down how we are fighting to uphold our shared values in Congress. I also had the great opportunity to join Fox Business’ The Bottom Line to discuss the budget resolution, which will come for a vote on the House Floor this week. We also celebrated National FFA Week, recognizing this outstanding organization which is shaping the next generation of agricultural leaders. As always, I enjoyed meeting with folks across the Sixth District to honor their achievements and learn more about their important work positively impacting our local community.

Fighting to Protect the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act

This week, I had the opportunity to join the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Roanoke Regional Chamber in Daleville to hear directly from local business leaders about the challenges they face and the urgent need to extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). Since its passage in 2017, the TCJA has been a game-changer for small businesses and hardworking families, spurring economic growth, creating jobs, and allowing folks to keep more of their hard-earned money instead of sending it to Washington.

But now, these critical tax cuts are at risk. If Congress fails to act, families across Virginia could face higher taxes, and small businesses could be burdened with financial challenges that hinder their growth. This would be a serious setback for our economy and for the hardworking people who drive it. That’s simply unacceptable.

Hearing directly from local business leaders reinforced my commitment to protecting these pro-growth policies. House Republicans are dedicated to ensuring the TCJA remains in place so our economy stays strong, small businesses thrive, and families keep more of their hard-earned money. I’ll continue to stand up to Washington’s tax-and-spend agenda and fight for the hardworking people of the Sixth District.

President Trump Delivering on His Promises

It’s been one month since President Trump’s return to the White House, and he’s already delivering for the American people. From day one, President Trump has taken decisive action to push back against woke policies, tackle illegal immigration, and rein in reckless government spending.

As someone who has long fought for these issues, I’m proud to see a President who is committed to putting America First. It is hard to believe that in just 30 days, President Trump has showcased how serious he is about restoring common sense to Washington. Whether it’s taking bold steps to fight woke ideology, secure our southern border, increase energy production, and reduce government waste, the Trump Administration is already making a difference.
With President Trump in the White House, we finally have a true partner in our fight to secure the border, restore American values, and rein in government waste. This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with President Trump to deliver real results for the American people.

Joining the Bottom Line on Fox Business
It was great joining Guy Benson and Dagen McDowell on Fox Business’ The Bottom Line to discuss how the House Budget Committee passed a budget resolution that will quickly implement President Trump’s America First agenda. With a vote in Congress imminent, House Republicans are united behind a bill that secures the border, unleashes American energy, restores peace, cuts wasteful spending, and extends Trump’s tax cuts.

This budget is a clear roadmap to restoring fiscal responsibility, national security, and economic prosperity. House Republicans are committed to reversing the reckless spending of the Biden Administration, and I look forward to delivering a win for the American people. You can watch the full clip of the interview below.

Hosting Chairman Jordan on the RSC’s “Right to the Point” Podcast

Last week, I had a great time hosting the Republican Study Committee’s new podcast, “Right to the Point,” with Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan. We talked about the fight to tackle the national debt, cut reckless spending, and defend our conservative values in Congress.

Chairman Jordan is a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility, and our conversation really underscored the need to restore principled leadership in Washington. Right to the Point is a great way to keep you updated on what the Republican Study Committee is doing to secure the border, strengthen the economy, and protect the values that make America great.

Celebrating National Future Farmers of America Week

It was great celebrating National Future Farmers of America Week last week. FFA members represent the future of agriculture and the next generation of leaders in Virginia’s Sixth District and across the country. Their hard work and commitment are building a stronger future for our farming and ranching communities. I’m proud to see several chapters from the Sixth District recognized nationally for their exceptional achievements. Thank you for all you do to support agriculture.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Congressman. If my office can ever be of assistance, please contact my Washington office at (202) 225-5431.
