Alleghany Highlands Public Schools closed today due to weather, CMS to remain remote learning Feb 24-28

ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (VR) – AHPS will be closed due to inclement weather on Thursday, February 20. All AHPS schools will have virtual learning. Additionally, as parents and guardians were made aware earlier today through AHPS communications, CMS will remain remote from February 24 – 28.

AHPS is also aware of recent questions from families that ask if snow days count as student absences. Snow days are not recorded in individual student attendance records as absences.
