SALEM — The locals cleaned house Saturday.
Lord Botetourt, Radford and Auburn all won state volleyball titles at the Salem Civic Center.
Class 3
The Cavaliers won their third straight state championship with a 25-13, 25-14, 27-25 win over Tabb in the Class 3 finals.
The win completed a 31-0 season in which LB didn’t lose a set, stretched their two-year win streak to 56 matches and ran their record over the last three years to 94-1.
Miette Veldman, who will play at James Madison University next year, led the Cavs with 19 kills and nine digs.
Lord Botetourt has three players with Highlands connections:
• Senior libero Kenleigh Gunter had 14 digs in Saturday’s championship match. Kenleigh is the daughter of Kendall Gunter, who played baseball and football at Alleghany High School where he graduated in 1986, and the granddaughter of Loraine Gunter of Iron Gate. Kenleigh also owns a state championship ring with the Cavalier girls basketball team and is an All-Blue Ridge District softball player;
• Senior defensive specialist Leah Carlton, who had three digs in the title match, is the daughter of Patricia Rooklin Carlton, a 1981 graduate of Alleghany County High School where she was a cheerleader. Patricia is the third of the four Rooklin children and is the youngest sister of David Rooklin;
• Junior middle blocker Parker Hudson is the daughter of Becky Parker Hudson and the granddaughter of Patsy Parker and the late Junior Parker of Clearwater Park. Becky’s sister is the late Susan Parker Potter.

How good was the Three Rivers District this fall?
Radford finished fourth in the league with a break-even 6-6 record.
The Bobcats got hot in the postseason, winning six straight, including a comeback victory over Poquoson Saturday — 24-26, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-8 — to capture back-to-back state crowns.
Senior Charli Dietz had 21 kills and 14 digs for the Bobcats, who finished the season 19-8.
Class 1
The Eagles capped a 31-2 season, winning their 25th straight with a four-set victory over Riverheads — 25-21, 25-21, 16-25, 25-19.
Sophomore middle Allyson Martin had a team-high 24 kills for Auburn, while Anna McGuire handed out 44 assists.
