LOW MOOR — The Alleghany County School Board approved personnel appointments and resignations Monday night.
The board appointed Suzanne E. Smith as a counselor at Mountain View Elementary School and Norma Preuit as a full- time bus driver.
Substitute teachers and teacher assistants approved include Lynne Bowman, Marilyn Crowder, Marianna Keener, Sierra Knick-Bradberry, Teresa Little, Taylor O’Conner, Kristie Schultz and Charlotte Taylor.
Extra-curricular appointments include: Steven Holt as an assistant wrestling coach at Alleghany High School and Gavin Haynes as an assistant baseball coach.
Toni Jackson was appointed as School Based Intervention Team Chairwoman at Mountain View Elementary for the remainder of the school year.
The board accepted the resignation of Patricia DePriest, bus driver; and Cynthia Humphries, School Based Intervention Team Chairwoman at Mountain View.
