Marvin Edward Nicely, Jr.

Marvin Edward Nicely, Jr. 60, of Eagle Rock, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 19, 1964, a son to Sadie Mae Definbaugh Mays and the late Marvin Edward Nicely, Sr.

Marvin graduated from James River High School in 1984. After completing high school, he spent several years working as an auto mechanic at various auto shops, with most of his career spent at Rick Woodson Honda. Marvin had a passion for fast cars, movies, classic rock music, and his dog.

He is survived by his mother, Sadie Mays of Millboro, Virginia; four sisters, Shiela Nicely Estes of Lancaster, South Carolina, Donna Nicely of
Petersburg, Virginia, Vickie Mears and Husband Dan Weber of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Angel Grimm of Millboro, Virginia, Ashley Seale and
Husband Josh Seale of Eagle Rock, Virginia; Stepsister, Lisa Snead of Covington, Virginia; one brother, Derrick Nicely; his beloved dog, Pooch; a
number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; Special friends; Joseph Bryant of Eagle Rock, Virginia, Cecil (PeeWee) Aldridge of Clifton Forge, Virginia,
and Dan Newberry of Covington, Virginia.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
