Harry Floyd Hyler
Harry Floyd Hyler, 87, of Mount Crawford, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
He was born on March 12, 1937, and was the son of the late Charles Hyler and Mattie Elizabeth (Ayers) Hyler.
Harry had worked as a box machine operator for Rocco Turkeys in Dayton, retiring after 17 years in 1999. He was a member of New Beginnings Church, who never forgot them and continued to support them long after they were not able to attend church services.
Harry was united in marriage to Janet Hyler on October 30, 1987, who survives. He was also preceded in death by first wife, Barbara (Nicely) Hyler.
Harry is survived by two children, Cindy (Dubby) Carr, of Harrisonburg and Jeffrey Hyler, of Clearwater, FL; step-children, Deborah (Charles) Rohrer, Teresa (Brian) Hupp; brother, Lawrence Ray Hyler; four grandchildren, Kevin Hyler, DeEbra Carr, Jessica Carr, Meagan Tomczark-Martinkus.
In addition to his first wife and parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Charles Hyler, Frazier T. Hyler, Paul Hyler, Delmas Hyler, Richard Hyler, Vadnia Virginia Clark, Carolyn Waldron, Madeline Clark.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service, in Bridgewater, Virginia, with Pastor Cindy Carr officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Keezletown Rd., Weyers Cave.
