WARM SPRINGS — The Bath County School Board has adopted its budget for fiscal year 2020-21.
By a 3-2 vote with Zachary Burns and Clara Tennant dissenting, the school board approved the $11.1 million fiscal plan during a called meeting Monday evening.
The $11,155,409 budget document reflects a 2.35 percent increase over the current fiscal year budget and is based on 500 students attending Bath County schools next year.
Removed from the adopted budget were a technology position and a special education teaching post.
The school board also resolved to ask the board of supervisors for any leftover funds at the end of the current fiscal year budget.
The new fiscal year begins July 1.
