Mellissa Anne Bryant, age 32, of 1019 North Alleghany Avenue, Covington, Virginia died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.
She was born November 20, 1987 in Alleghany County, Virginia to Donald Wayne Bryant and Roxanna Goldberg Bryant.
She was a 2006 graduate of Alleghany County High School, and attended Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in the Forestry Program. She worked for a number of years at Douthat State Park, and was a devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Bryant; maternal grandmother, Jane Goldberg; and paternal grandparents, Daniel and Elizabeth Elsie Bryant.
In addition to her parents, Donald Wayne Bryant and Roxanna Bryant, both of Covington; she is survived by her life partner, Chad Harrison; her children, Melody Lynn Bryant of Covington and Jeremiah Adam Bryant of Divide, CO; a half-brother, Logan Bryant of Covington; a special grandfather, Norman Goldberg of Salem; and a number of special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
