Mildred Cornell Biggs of 321 E. Walnut Street, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her residence.
She was born August 1, 1918 in Glen Wilton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susie Elmore Cornell.
Mrs. Biggs was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Circle. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 911.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex C. Biggs in 2000 and also by two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Sandra and Jim Nuckols of Covington; three grandchildren, Paige and Larry O’Dell of Minford, Ohio, Ronnie and Brady Nuckols of Covington and Gary and Lori Nuckols of Minford, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Carson Stokes, Chris Brookman, Miguel Brookman and Jasmine Teter; one sister-in-law, Louis Warf of Clifton Forge and a special niece, Sue Warf of Covington.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Michael Snider officiating.
Entombment will be made at Alleghany Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may pay their respects at Arritt Funeral Home. The family will receive their friends Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the Biggs residence, 321 E. Walnut Street.
The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 200 E. Fudge Street, Covington, Va. 24426.
