WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Mary Frances Hoylman, 76, of Route 92, White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., passed away at her home early Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, after an extended illness.
Born April 18, 1933, in Greenbrier County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late George Edward “Jack” and Edna “Tommie” Kirkpatrick Hoylman.
Mary was of the Protestant faith and served her country in the U S Marines. She was a homemaker with many interests: loving the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and doing crafts. Mary exhibited her arts and crafts for many years at the West Virginia State Fair winning many ribbons.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jackalene Campbell on April 7, 2006.
Survivors include a son; George Lee Plott of Covington; a a daughter, Raymona Faye Bowles of White Sulphur Springs; an aunt, Irene Thomas of White Sulphur Springs; two uncles, Jake Kirkpatrick of White Sulphur Springs, and Bill Kirkpatrick of Wheelersburg, Ohio. She is also survived by two grandchildren, LeAnn Plott of Roanoke and Benjamin Plott of Beckley, W.Va.
Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wild Meadow Baptist Church, Route 92, where she attended many times. There will be no funeral service. There will be a private burial at Whatcoat Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alvon and White Sulphur Springs Rescue Squads, hospice, and the American Diabetes Association.
