HOT SPRINGS -Beverly Ann Gibson, 68, of 1754 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 19, 1941, in Pocahontas County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Carl Lee Morrison and Alice Ruth Puffenbarger.
She was married to the late Glen “Hoot” Gibson, who preceded her in death April 2, 1999.
She was a former employee of The Homestead Resort in the Chef Department and Steward Department. She attended Life Line Ministries. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed shopping and visiting friends.
She is survived by two children, Timmy Allen Gibson andwife Julie of Covington, and Mark Terry Gibson of Hot Springs; four brothers, Jerry Morrison of Elkins, W.Va., Sam Morrison of Elkins, Jim Morrison of Ronceverte, W.Va., and Bill Morrison of Lewisburg, W.Va.; and a grandson, Ryan Gibson of Covington.
She was preceded in death by a son, Harlan Ezra “Hootie” Gibson; a brother, Don Morrison; and a sister, Sue Beverly.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Lee Altizer officiating Interment will be in Union Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call any time at the home of Joey and Mary Altizer, 146 Forestry Road in Hot Springs.
