Glenn Lewis Whitehead, 76, of 408 Center Court in Jackson Heights, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Alleghany Regional Hospital.
Mr. Whitehead was born July 17, 1933, in Covington a son of the late William F. and Louise Parrish Whitehead.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Whitehead’s body has been cremated.
A funeral service will be held this evening at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Marshall officiating.
The family will receive their friends following the service at Arritt Funeral Home.
The family suggests that donations in Mr. Whitehead’s name be made to the Covington Rescue Squad, 435 W. Hawthorne St., Covington, Va. 24426 or to the Selma Fire Department, P.O. Box 124, Selma, Va. 24474.
