SWOOPE – Jailyn Ford twirled her second straight no-hitter in leading the Bath County softball team past Buffalo Gap Thursday, 9-0.
The sophomore mound sensation struck out 17 batters, while hitting one.
Ford also helped herself out with a three-run home run in the fourth inning to give the Chargers a 7-0 lead. Ford finished with three hits and drove in three-runs.
Rebekkah Pauley also had three hits for the Chargers, while Emily Bartley, Sam Shifflett and Allison Sharp had two hits with Bartley adding three RBI.
Jordan Fry also had a hit for the Lady Chargers.
Bath County (5-1) returns to action Tuesday at Greenbrier West before returning home on Thursday to host the Bison.
