GALAX – McGinnis Carl (Mack) Bedsaul, 81, of Galax, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Bedsaul was born January 14, 1929 in Carroll County, to Carl and Pearl Cox Bedsaul.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fannin Bedsaul of Galax; son, Mackie Bedsaul of Galax; step-daughter, Doris Maynard of Pikeville, Ky.; stepson and his wife John and Lana Dotson of Clifton Forge, five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted today at 1 p.m. at Oakland United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Ousley, the Rev. Randy Morris and the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Grayson VFW Post 7726.
The family received friends Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
