FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Constance Hindrew McClain, 84, of 1884 Cascade Street, Fayetteville, N.C., and formerly of McCormick Blvd., Clifton Forge, died Monday, January 18, 2010 in Cape Fear Hospital in Fayetteville.
Born October 20, 1924 in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Charlotte Mayo Hindrew. She was a homemaker throughout her life and a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Clifton Forge. She was also a member of the Clifton Forge Senior Citizens Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh McClain in 2002, and a sister, Nona Hindrew.
She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Soublet of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sons, Dennis Romain of Lexington and Robert Judkins of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Alfred Hindrew of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2009 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Rev. Louis Benoit officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
